When I first started Vivi Nation, our goal was to inspire participation in sport, period. I quickly realised the scope of this was far too big, so we honed our approach and messaging to focus primarily on running, cycling and general exercise, some of the most accessible sports available.
So having been working hard behind the scenes for what feels like forever, today we launch our full product range for cyclists, runners and active livers. It’s been created to encourage and motivate the nation to get healthy and active, and we particularly want to help beginner’s start their fitness journey. But we also want to inspire those who are already keen cyclists and runners to continually strive to improve – check out our Join the Nation page for some inspiring stories!
We want to challenge the status quo and address the perceived barriers to entry: cost, the perception of required ability and motivation. The best thing about running and cycling is they are two sports that require very little equipment to get started. Ultimately, we want people to get involved, get fit and get healthy. And I believe cycling, running and exercise can provide the perfect medium for achieving that.
We are a small team of people genuinely passionate about cycling, running, exercise, health and adventure, and fully support the entire ethos behind Vivi, which in Latin means ‘alive’ – a word very appropriate for what we are trying to achieve. We want to see people treat their bodies well and get healthy for the right reasons. So, regardless of whether you are just starting out cycling, running your tenth marathon, or simply want to lead a healthier, more active, lifestyle, I think Vivi Nation has something to offer.
Our end goal remains the same, we want to be a go-to community for cycling, running and fitness topics, nutrition boxes and active apparel.
Thank you to everyone that has supported us in whatever form: whether you have worn a Vivi Nation cycle jersey, visited our blog, contributed to our growin community, subscribed to one of our nutrition boxes or interacted with us on social media, you are the lifeblood of Vivi.
